For the Citrus Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar

To make the Drink (yields 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml good quality vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish

Instructions

Making the Citrus Syrup: Combine all the items into a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Next, remove from the stove and leave to reach room temperature completely. Transfer into a sealable bottle, close it and store chilled, it can be stored for around one month.

Preparing the Cocktail Base: Mix the specified spirits and syrup into a sizeable container, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then strain best through a fine cloth, so it's perfectly clear.

When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of your cocktail base into a cocktail shaker packed with ice, and agitate gently for about 60 seconds to chill. Pour into an frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, decorate with some cranberries and finish using a brief mist with the mandarin essence over the drink.
